Pathways to Inclusion: Advancing Civil Society’s Role in AI Governance examines who shapes the future of artificial intelligence—and who is left out. Author Paola Gálvez Callirgos highlights the underrepresentation of civil society from the Global Majority in global AI decision-making and argues that their voices are essential to counterbalance concentrated power. Drawing on regional insights and comparative research, the publication
identifies key barriers to participation, outlines opportunities for engagement, and offers policy recommendations to ensure AI governance is inclusive, value-driven, and aligned with the public interest.
