Dear
As we navigate the complexities of this new year, we remain focused on ensuring that the rapid evolution of technology is grounded in responsible governance and ethical leadership.
We begin 2026 by reflecting on the profound insights shared during Davos, where the conversation shifted from technical infrastructure to the core of our mission: leadership as behaviour. As R. Kat Morse, our Acting Head of Solutions Hub, observed, AI is not merely a technical problem but a human one. The bottleneck for progress is no longer just platform capability, but rather our mindset, culture, and willingness to change.
At Globethics, we believe that "human-in-the-loop" is not just a slogan; it is an ethical requirement. This year, we invite you to join us in moving beyond "doing AI" to becoming truly AI-capable, fostering a culture where authenticity and trust are the foundations of governance. |

Pathways to Inclusion: Advancing Civil Society’s Role in AI Governance
This publication explores how AI is governed and who gets a say in shaping its future. Paola Gálvez Callirgos highlights the underrepresentation of civil society from the Global Majority in global decision-making spaces and argues that their perspectives are essential to counterbalance concentrated power. Drawing on regional insights and comparative research, the publication identifies barriers to participation and opportunities for engagement, and proposes policy recommendations to a set of stakeholders to ensure AI governance is inclusive, reflects diverse values, and serves the public interest.
